While boiling the large pieces of pumpkin, wash them in cold water, and place them in a large pot having an inch of water. After covering the pot, bake it for 20 to 30 minutes. Now, cool and peel the pumpkin, using a blender, food processor, potato masher, or a ricer to make the puree.
